How soon will my order ship?

For quality control and speed we now ship everything from our headquarters in San Francisco. All orders ship the same day if you order by noon. We use priority mail because it is very fast and your package can be dropped off without a signature. Plus, we think that guy with the long hair who does the UPS ads is an idiot.

Can I make a return?

Yes, you can return a shirt for any reason within a year of purchase—shipping’s on us.

Email your name, order number and what items you’re returning to returns@marinelayer.com. We’ll generate a return mailer that you can print at home, attach to the original box or any other then drop in the mail. High five your mail man because together we may be single-handedly keeping it in business!

Can I exchange an item?

Sure. However, because our items tend to sell quickly, we recommend buying the new item and then return the original garment following the steps above. Once we receive the returned item we’ll refund your account.

If you don’t see the item you’d like online please send us an email at returns@marinelayer.com and we will work to locate it at one of our stores.

Can a real person help me find my size?

Yup – just send an email to help@marinelayer.com and provide a few basic measurements (height, weight, etc.) and the item(s) you’re looking to purchase and we’ll get you set up with a great fitting shirt.

Your shirts are expensive, do they come with a football phone or anything?

Nope. We think it’s better to pay a little more for a shirt that you really like. How many times have you worn some of your favorite shirts? Between all of our size options, free returns and lifetime guarantee we know you’ll end up with a new top of the rotation shirt.

Can I buy two shirts and just keep the one that fits better?

Yes. We pay the freight both ways.  If you need to make a return just email us at returns@marinelayer.com and we’ll send a free return shipping label so it don’t cost you nothin.

How much you bench?

You tell first.

Why do your shirts shrink less than other “pre-shrunk” shirts?

All natural fabrics shrink, that is the price you pay for softness. But our shirts will only shrink ¾”-1” because they have already been washed 4 times by the time they get to you. This is the only true way to minimize shrinkage. That and staying out of the pool….zing!

Can I wash the shirts in hot water and put them in the dryer?

Yes. Wash and dry any way you want, the color won’t bleed. We think it is insulting that most companies will ask you to pay $75 for a polo and then expect you to go to the trouble to hang dry them or only wash in cold water. You see anybody in your building with a clothesline these days???

Who’s the idiot who spelled “Cotton” incorrectly on your first shirt labels?
